Alex Wall is a writer and musician from the Portland, Maine area,
now living in Farmington, Maine.
In October 2014 he crossed the US by ground level travel,
reporting on his experiences and the people he met along the way at his blog, IWALLK.Blogspot.com,
rough camping on the sides of roads from Maine to California in 90 days.
Then, from June 2015 to June 2016 he wrote 377 consecutive daily blog posts during his journey back to Maine from California, up the Northwest Coast, over to the Great Lakes, down the Mississippi River to the Gulf Coast, and then up the East Coast, rough camping over 300 times,
and posting over 15,000 pictures, hundreds of videos, many formal essays,
with profiles of dozens of people.
This book was written to inform and inspire all the Modern Nomads to come.
