A YOUTH REQUIEM
And so, I lay to rest the child who might have been
but was not allowed to be--simply a child
You were named after two kings
I now honor the shell that is left--the shell that
is myself as the next best thing
I will never be what you might have been
I will still try to achieve all that you would have in my lesser form
I bid you farewell, and consign your remains back into the
realms of potentiality, that they may be spread out to every child who is afforded the chance to truly be a child
Sleep peacefully now and forever--little king

[I know people will find this bizarre. But, in the end it will make sense.
Regular posts will resume as usual tomorrow. Thanks for your respect and love.]
