A Living Magazine - Day 262 - Homecoming - Eno to Durham

I had a dream about an old girlfriend, which I may or may not describe later, since it seemed to continue for the next two nights. In the morning I woke, packed up, and hit the road at about 8:00 a.m...

Ha! This person was not a Trump fan. Whenever I see Trump sign I accidentally trample it.

Victim of hit and run. An Eastern Comma (Polygonia comma) butterfly.

It took less time than I thought to reach the edge of Durham. An inaccurate sign about three miles west of the following sign said it was seven miles; a nice surprise...

Pretty little bluets (Houstonia).

Red spruce bud.

I filmed my walk through town as I made my way to the library on Roxboro...

Once at the library, I produced the above video which took a lot longer than I thought. So, I fell one more post behind. Still, I ended up enjoying the process and will try to do more in this same kind of format.

At about 6:00 p.m. I left to check out potential sleep spots along Briggs Avenue. I walked down to Pettigrew Street and made my way through a pretty rough part of town to Briggs.

At first I checked out the left side of the road, walking through a about an acre thick very dark woods. But, it was packed with small trees everywhere and it was also a hill with no level areas. So, I crossed the road and explored out the other side. It wasn't much better, but I did find a place...

I set up the tent and stood thinking for a while and walking around looking for a spot that might be better for the next night. I did find a large rock to sit on which was nice. I hardly ever get to just sit at a camp site. Then I went to "bed," and continued the along the storyline of the last nights dream.
